For generations, Indian brides have been given a turmeric paste before their wedding. It is not just tradition: turmeric genuinely does something for the skin.
The golden colour comes from curcumin, a natural antioxidant. Antioxidants help protect skin from everyday stress such as pollution and sun, and curcumin is also known for calming redness and irritation.
Wild turmeric (kasturi manjal) is the variety traditionally used on the face because it is far less likely to leave a yellow tint than the kitchen kind. Our Wild Turmeric Soap is made with it, so you get the benefit without the colour.
Lather the soap on damp skin, massage gently in circles for 30 seconds and rinse well. Use once or twice a day. Give it three to four weeks before judging results, because natural care is about steady change.
